Root Alcatel OT Pixi3 4.5 (3G) 4028s MT6572

Today, I will be teaching you how to root (gain administrative rights) of Alcatel’s OT Pixi. The specific model I’ll be using for this tutorial will be Alcatel’s Onetouch (OT) Pixi3 4.5 (3G) 4028S MT6572 but the process will be similar for any android phone.

Requirements:

KingoROOT.apk (Not to be confused with KingROOT)

Enable Unknown Sources

Enable Developer Options

Enable Developer Options

Head into your phone’s settings, and look for ‘ About Phone ‘ and click on it. Scroll down until you see ‘ Build number ‘ and click on it 5-6 times. It’ll say ‘ 3…2…1… steps away from being a developer…’. Now go back and right above Regulatory & Safety, you should see { } Developer Options. Click on it and scroll down to DEBUGGING and here you can tick beside USB Debugging to enable it. Note: You can r-click ‘Open in new tab’ each of the pictures below to see a larger version.

Enable Unknown Sources

Once more you are going to navigate to your phone’s settings and look for ‘security‘ right below Location, and click on it. Scroll down to Device Administrators and look for ‘ Unknown sources‘ and put a check beside it to enable it.

One-click Root w KingoROOT

Download KingoROOT.apk and place it in an acessible folder inside your phone’s SDCARD, and install it. Next, launch the application. Uncheck ‘Install Recommended Apps’ to avoid bloatware. Once that’s finished click on ‘One Click Root‘.

When it reaches 90%, it might slow down, but it is completely normal and after a few minutes, you should see a confirmation like below.
